TESTOSTERONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY
Our goal at Compass Medical Center in Grand Junction, Heber-Overgaard, Montrose, and Snowflake is to help you begin feeling as well as you did in your 20s and 30s before your natural testosterone levels began to decrease. In order to accomplish this goal, we use a bio-identical hormone replacement therapy to optimize and regulate your testosterone levels as well as several other hormones. Since the hormones we use occur naturally in your body, it greatly reduces many of the adverse side effects commonly associated with synthetic therapies.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The first thing that will happen during your consultation is to complete a health history evaluation with our medical staff. We perform this first to ensure that you do not exhibit any of the disqualifying factors that would disallow your participation in our Low Testosterone, HGH optimization, or Erectile Dysfunction programs. Once that has been successfully managed, a full blood workup is now necessary. This allows us to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for treatment from a medical perspective. Next, one of our highly qualified doctors will show you how to administer your testosterone shots and accompanying hormone prescriptions and answer any questions you may have at that time. This will allow you to self-administer at home rather than visiting the clinic each week which makes the program much more convenient, allowing you to be much more compliant.
After being on the therapy for 60 days, we ask that you return to the clinic so that we can ensure the treatment is working as desired. This also gives us a chance to determine if your individual physiology requires any additional tweaking to ensure the most appropriate dosing is achieved. After this follow-up appointment, you will usually only be required to return to the clinic once every six months.
